A slow, friendly Swiss tournament played over several months. You set the schedule with your opponent, so it fits around school, camp and everything else.
How a Swiss tournament works
- 01Everyone plays every round
No knockouts. One loss doesn't send you home, so you get a full tournament's worth of games.
- 02Paired by score
Each round you face someone with the same (or nearly the same) score. Winners meet winners, so games stay close.
- 03No rematches
You never play the same opponent twice, and colors alternate as evenly as possible.
- 04Points decide it
Win = 1, draw = ½, loss = 0. After the last round, the most points wins. Tiebreaks settle equal scores.
Playing your games
- Where
- In person or online. You and your opponent decide.
- When
- Whenever suits you both, as long as the game is played inside the round's window.
- Deadline
- Each round must be completed within one month.
- Contact
- Reach your opponent through the SigmaCamp Discord and make a reasonable effort to set a time.
